This is an effective method as it makes the main image and article stand out in comparison to it. The mis en scene of the actual image is set in the dark in order represent urban life so the target audience can relate to it. The artist is also wearing street clothing once again which again shows the consistency of the magazines genre and house style. The article also represents their target audience because the text is written in colloquial language and contains certain slang phrases and sentences, this is so the target audience can relate to article and the artists situation, this is turn makes the magazine more appealing, therefore more people are likely to buy it. The typography is again straight forward and bold so that it stands out. The colour scheme is again basic and sticks to the rule of thirds, the main colours used are red, black and white.
